Conduct research to develop an understanding of your audience, the stage of the Deep learning about the audience for whom you are designing by using the following tools:

• Interviews
• Observation and Immersion
• Desk research

Redefining and focusing your question based on your insights from the mpathy stage where you combine all your research and observe where your users’ problems exist and that includes:

• Reformulate and write the problem statement based on your audience point view
• Select your audience needs, pain points, goals and wishes
• Create user persona and point of view

Brainstorming and coming up with creative solutions where you generate a range of crazy, creative ideas by:

• Many Ideas
• Encourage crazy and wild ideas
• Sharing Ideas with others and build on it
• Defer judgement
• Clustering and voting for the best idea

Building a representation of one or more of your ideas to show to others which means build a real or tactile representation for a range of your ideas by using of of the following methods:

• Roleplay
• Physical
• Prototyping
• Storyboard
• Process or Journey
• UI Wireframe
• SAP Scenes

Returning to your original user group and testing your ideas for feedback to develop and improve your solution and that includes:

• Testing solution with a closed sample of the targeted audience, improve the idea and collect information like:
  • worked well
    Needs to change
    New Ideas
    Unanswered questions
• More empathy with audience after understood his need and pain
• Accept fail happily and improve ideas again and again

The innovative work is based on teamwork not individual work and not normal teams but diverse team members who came from different fields, experiences, ages and so on. As we had variety we got different output, points of view and the chance for creativity.

And we mean here the empathy with the targeted audience, their pain and needs to produce the suitable solution that fit their needs and solve their pain.

The best solution didn’t come directly, it needed a prototype to be tested by a close sample of the targeted audience to check how much it fit their needs and solve their pains which gave us the chance to get their comments and notes.

Producing the suitable product/solution that fits the audience and feeds their needs is not an easy thing, so we have to be patient, produce a prototype to get feedback, notes and comments from the targeted audience to improve it, edit and iterate until we get the best effective solution.
