Military and security uses: Police and military, search and rescue, detect explosives and drugs, track suspects, attack people when needed.
Use in the Israeli army: This dog is considered the backbone of the Israeli “Oketz” unit. It is used in night raids, tracking Palestinians, attacking individuals, exploring tunnels in Gaza, and dispersing crowds in the West Bank.

Physical and behavioral characteristics: High physical strength, extreme intelligence, loyalty to its owner, ability to withstand harsh environments, strong guarding instincts.
Military and security uses: installations, searching for drugs and explosives, crowd control, search and rescue.
Use in the Israeli army: Used to guard Israeli military bases, work with special dog units, search for weapons and drugs at Israeli military checkpoints, and attack Palestinians during arrests.

Use in the Israeli army: It was the main dog in the “Oktez” unit before being replaced by the Belgian Malinois. Israel used it for guarding and detecting explosives, but it was later replaced by more aggressive and faster breeds such as the Malinois.
