About the Program

"Super Searchers" is a program by ARIJ in collaboration with Google, aimed at enhancing media literacy. It seeks to equip everyone with the necessary skills to strengthen their critical thinking and research abilities, enabling them to effectively and critically evaluate information online, in a world witnessing an increase in misleading and AI-generated content. Through this program, ARIJ trained 1087 individuals, 84 of whom passed the knowledge on to 4481 people around the world.

Note: This map represents in-person trainees only (2,588). The total number of trainees in the program is 5,568, which includes 2,980 online participants distributed across 54 countries and 248 cities not covered on this map.

In the second phase of the project, 84 trainers, who were trained by ARIJ, set out to pass on the skills they learned. These trainings included in-person workshops and online training sessions, allowing for flexibility and reaching a wider audience. The scope of these training extended to various countries in the Arab world, as well as neighboring countries.
