Deliver one advanced workshop for Arab journalists

An advanced 3-day workshop titled "Advanced Investigative Journalism: Pitching & Ethics" took place in Amman, Jordan. The workshop was led by two experts in the field of investigative journalism, Naji Tamimi and Khadija Addi, where participants delved into a comprehensive range of topics essential to investigative reporting.

Graduation Ceremony

To acknowledge the prolific, long-standing relationship between ARIJ and our Norwegian partners, ARIJ organized a small graduation ceremony for the participants of the three workshops, celebrating the achievements of the talented trainees who participated in the workshops. The training was funded and implemented by:

  • The Norwegian Embassy
  • The Norwegian Institute for Journalism (NIJ)
  • and the Norwegian Organization for Investigative Journalism (SKUP)

Elevate community-building via investigative journalism by connecting, networking, and collaborating

ARIJ's Annual Forum is the Arab World's largest gathering for investigative journalists and independent media advocates. It offers a unique platform for Arab journalists to network, share experiences, and build partnerships with media organizations, fostering collaboration and mutual growth. The 15th Annual Forum, held in Amman, Jordan from December 2nd to 4th, 2022, focused on "Defending Independent Media" to promote accountability and access to verified information.

The opening ceremony was attended by distinguished ambassadors, including the Norwegian Ambassador to Jordan, Espen Evjenth Lindbæck. A group of 16 project participants were in attendance at this significant event.
